I ride about 80-120 miles a week and easily get close to 2000 miles out of a rear tire and 3,000 out of a front tire inspite of the conditions. On the only occasion where I found the responsible object it was a tiny piece of narrow gauge flexible wire that should not be penetrating a decent tyre. It can contain letters, numbers, and must contain at least one special character: ~ ! The Grand Prix 4 Season Clincher Tire is a step above the tried and true 4000 when it comes to durability and flat resistance. Like spider silk, Vectran is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). These are OK as long as you are planning on going slow anyway and have excellent puncture resistance. So i run Gators on my road bike, and these on my commuter in winter. Havent had a flat with on yet!Bought a gravel bike and ended up using it more on asphalt than gravel, go figure. I replaced two Schwalbe Marathon's with these and in 2 months I had had 5 punctures, one causing a large slit in the tyre.
