If you ask people to isolate at home and they live with vulnerable individuals, then you have to provide them some kind of facility, whether it's a hotel or a hospital. Vast testing, trace contacts, isolate - go aggressively against the virus. Nearly half the world's schools do not have access to soap and water to fight Covid-19, study finds

The Spectrum of Hope by Gayatri Devi is a free NetGalley ebook that I read in late September. Copyright © The Tribune Trust, 2020 The overall estimate is quite a range. We can clearly see other countries' strategies: South Korea is focusing on “test, trace, isolate”, to basically drive the virus out; New Zealand has come out very clearly saying they're trying to get to elimination; Sweden has said, actually, we just want to let it run through and develop immunity. She had bilateral pneumonia at admission and was shifted to ICU on the day of admission itself because of high oxygen requirement.” The statement further said, “Later she required non-invasive ventilation (NIV) with high oxygen requirements. But all you need is one government not to cooperate - so when the US didn’t send a representative to that first vaccine pledging session, it was symbolic signalling. We don't fully understand children’s role in transmission, or the impact this virus might be having on them - I'm quite worried about the increasing number of children who seem to be affected by severe immune reactions several weeks after exposure to the virus. If we understood that better the school's question would be much easier to answer. I think here it just came to, probably, British arrogance - that we knew better than WHO. What is the ratio of confirmed cases versus the total number of tests you're doing? So different leaders are being presented with similar data and based on that data have to make political decisions. I think it’s been clear that containment is the best strategy for your economy, for public health, and for society. But this comes down to different strategies. Differences we see across the nations might be due to that too. UP Cabinet minister for Technical Education Kamal Rani Varun succumbed to COVID-19 on Sunday at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences here.Kamal Rani, the first minister in Uttar Pradesh to die after contracting coronavirus, was 62. What struck me is that it’s unclear what the UK Government’s goal is. WHO is trying to bring together and some government’s are leading on this - France, and the UK as well. They'll tell you much more fundamentally about whether you can ease restrictions or make them more stringent. The UK neglected to say that actually the people leading the WHO response are very experienced in managing outbreaks and well worth listening to.Apps, I think, are oversold in terms of what they can actually do. If the strategy is containment in one part of the country and a mitigation in another part then obviously, it's very difficult for the country that is trying to contain it. But there are real differences between care homes, hospitals, and the community. And the second goal is to keep daily new cases as low as possible. Remdesevir followed by Tocilizumab following which she had transient improvement in her clinical status for few days but again her condition started deteriorating with progressively increasing NIV and oxygen requirements”.She was immediately transfused with convalescent plasma and steroid doses were hiked, the statement said, adding that expert advice from Prof. Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS and Prof Ritesh Agarwal of PGIMER, Chandigarh was also taken.“However, she had progressive severe disease unresponsive to maximal medical therapy. They are most useful when you have contact tracers - who are almost detectives for disease - who can use the apps to help them do their jobs.
