Fortunately, I really liked Caro and wanted to find out what happened so I skimmed several pages and the story picked back up. But since her arrival at the family home, strange things have happening. It was a fairly quick read but not that good. But can you trust him? What happened in that house? Nearly gave up on this near the start, and in the middle. All the creepiness. I didn't like the main character very much - she seemed to make every mistake and bad choice possible, and she wasn't very likeable, which is a problem with a first-person narrative. I realized that it was a "psychological thriller" and I don't care for that genre.
