We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won’t be able to visit without your booking confirmation. Approx 90 acres of well maintained parkland with plenty of space and areas to explore. Not great for us but I can see the attraction for families with children. The K9 Korral Dog Run (aka Forest Park Dog Run) is uphill on DIRT terrain but surrounded by grass. It is the perfect place for you to take Spike to exercise and have fun with other canines. But for a couple paying full price and limited to where they are allowed to go with dogs, it is an expensive dog walk. Very very happy to find that the English Heritage cafe is dog friendly, so we were able to sit inside, out of the cold, and enjoy a lovely lunch. Wish more cafe’s were like this for dogs and their owners. We could not go into the house and whilst the parkland is lovely, it is no more so than many others that you can walk in for free.
Wrest Park is now open for you to visit. A nice property that would be ideal for a warm summer's day but worked just as well on a bracing, but dry, winter's afternoon.Visited on 29th January, it was a nice fresh day. At this point his very kind helper offered to take a family pic with Father Christmas too, an unexpected bonus.Just off the A6, Wrest Park is a great place to stop off for an afternoon to take in the house and extensive gardens. Nice grounds and there is an agricultural college in grounds.
Very friendly guides and plenty of information; just ensure you bring your camera and your own picnic.Good for children in the play area - very safe environment. Previous Next. Waypoints.
