Friendly staff and the course landscaping is beyond anything I've played.This is a truly amazing course. A speed slot on the left side of fairway will add length to your drive. Keep your second shot on the right side of the fairway for the best angle of approach to this narrow green.A dramatic and memorable finishing hole. The sloping fairway will bring trouble in from the right. The greens were the biggest I have ever seen.

A cart was brought out to my car to load up my clubs and welcome me to the course. Aviara Golf Club is located north of San Diego overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Batiquitos Lagoon in Carlsbad. Less club is desired for proper lay up.The shortest par four on the front nine and a good chance for birdie. Avoid large fairway bunker on right side. To lay up, favor the right side of the sloping fairway to avoid water left. Both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine have named this Arnold Palmer designed golf course one of the best golf resort courses in America. Argyle Steakhouse located at the clubhouse at Aviara Golf Club, with views of the 18th green and Batiquitos Lagoon, provides an ideal setting for a lunch or dinner after a round of golf. I Recommend This Course Position second shot to left side of fairway for the ideal approach. Proper club selection is a must to this wide and shallow green.A very demanding par four where length and accuracy are a premium. The layout was a great mix and I never got bored.
