Christy makes a new friend, Regina (guest star OCTAVIA SPENCER), who has big problems. Not a single bad actor/actress. Watch Mom Season 6 Episode … I do like Violet, and she is not even mentioned. The ONLY reason it didn't get five stars, was the absence of any special features or gag reel. Will enjoy it for many years to come. Christy goes on her first date since she stopped drinking. JUSTIN LONG guest stars as her date, Adam. I find 'Mom' to be quite original for network TV, a sitcom that comes from a different, darker place than usual. Not the least of which is her mother, Bonnie. When Christy sprains her ankle, she refuses to admit she needs Bonnie's help.

It delivers laughs alongside drama very well, with the closest comparison in my mind being 'M*A*S*H' in its heyday. Also, Bonnie tries to give up coffee.Bonnie & Adam discover they’re not on the same page for their wedding, while Christy & Patrick try to set the mood for romance.When Christy’s car dies, Bonnie refuses to let Adam loan her money for a new one, on the 100th episode.Jill returns from her wellness retreat a changed woman, but Bonnie is offended when she refuses to pay for lunch. This show knows when to be serious, and when to joke around...……...and you can sense that the audience felt the emotional scenes. As someone who grew up in a family with generational alcoholism and someone in recovery myself, I enjoy the way the writers find comedy in recovery. Christy squares off against Luke's conservative parents (guest stars NICKY SEARCY and LAUREN BOWLES) who are upset about Violet's pregnancy. Meanwhile, Gabriel's wife, Claudia (guest star COURTNEY HENGGELER), suspects he is cheating and seeks comfort from Christy. Violet is nervous about becoming a mom, so Christy plans a baby shower to get her excited. The fourth season of the sitcom Mom began airing on October 27, 2016 on CBS in the United States. Christy is determined to take things slow in her relationship with Adam.
