At 4, 747 feet (1430 meters), Morne Diablotins, is the second highest peak of the Lesser Antilles after Soufriere in Guadeloupe (1467 meters). Bathymetry shows a double-peaked lava dome (known informally as Twin Peaks) off the northern coast, truncated by a 4-km-long fault-bounded cliff. No historical eruptions are known, although the volcano has a youthful appearance, and activity at flank domes likely continued into the late Pleistocene and Holocene (Lindsay and others, 2005).
