My swing is a bit fast to take advantage of the benefits of the ball. It is those players who will find the distance most compatible with other balls, rather than golfers with faster swing speeds. Hello three wood on this hole from now on.
Wow! Driver distance is about the same. Even more of a surprise was how much more bouncy off the putter face the XT's are. Also - birds appear to be attracted to the “vivid blue” colour. So I bet when you think of Volvik, you think "oh it's those funky color golf balls'. I love them. The pitching wedge from 135 yards usually resulted in the DS77 finishing about 8 feet from the pitch mark and on bump and runs, the ball runs out very long but very consistently.This ball ticks all the boxes of a distance golf ball and if that's your priority, don't get too hung up in the marketing and sales talk about this ball feeling soft and unique.
Putting once got used to was good. Super viability, yellow really stands out. They've been around since 2010 and in the USA since 2012 and there are a lot of different models. I'm 48 yrs old, 17 hcp with a swing speed of around 100mph driver/3wood (dependant on the night before!! He shot a 78 with the Crystals so it just goes to show that hard balls can also produce good results, depending on your priorities.A couple points he noted were that the ball felt like a Top Flite Infinity but he noticed more carry with the Crystals and hit more hybrids instead of fairway woods into the greens. Quickly went back and purchased another box before the cat gets out of the bag. Love them.

I absolutely love them. Irons have also added distance circa 15 yards.A noticeable difference in feel with the irons, particurlary if its not flushed out of the sweet spot, it will feel firmer. It was strange because the compression is so high at 100. It's the right mix between firm and soft and with all the buttery balls out now, I really enjoy putting the firmer Vista iV.Probably the ugliest name ever given to a golf ball, With the 135 yard pitching wedge test, the ball stops within 2 feet of it's pitch mark and I like how durable the cover is as it's made from the same material as the more expensive Volvik Vista iV golf balls.Off the tee and on approach shots the ball feels and performs like a premium golf ball but the big difference comes around the greens. Nothing beats seeing a bright red ball screaming down the fairway!What can I say, I play off 3 and thought up for a laugh, not laughing now, got given one to try, by my local pro at Caressgreen golf club Kendal, First tee up hill 305 yards, 10 yards off the green easy chip, great feel good amount of spin, 2 foot putt, did the short six, next hole 170 to flag, 8 iron to 6 feet, great feel off the club into a 12 mph wind, I would say it gave me 20 years off the tee with driver and up one club with irons 10-15 yard gain, now for the bad point, I used the blue vivid, could not see the ball after 100 yards in the air, and had to search for it on the green upto 30yards away, will try another colour this week.
