Based on the operating data of an existing CCPP operating in the tropical rain forest region of Nigeria, results of the analysis showed that by utilizing exhaust heat of the CCPP to power an ORC, using R113 as the working fluid, extra 7.5 MW of electricity was generated and by powering an ARC to cool inlet air streams to 15°C in the gas turbine plants, additional 51.1 MW of electricity was generated. The cooling output of the system ranges from 3.1 to 4.2 W/m-super-3/h air flow rate in the UK, depending upon the region where the system is applied. The accuracy of its output is good enough for engineering practice and, therefore, strongly recommended it as a teaching tool, which would be useful in regions where there is limited internet access.
