A very thorough, insightful read on the key areas that cyclists and their coaches target to get to the front of their respective races. He has won multiple national titles in both Britain and Ireland, and represented both countries internationally, as well as Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games of 2002, 2006 and 2010. I originally thought that this book was just another cycling training guide that would lead the reader through various workouts and drills to get faster.

Any cyclist trying to improve performance will find the book useful and inspirational When I reached the end, I was sad.
His primary focus is endurance and TT but he covers track sprinting hear and there and shares basic methodology and science from the GB and Sky team and others with the quest for marginal gains. Probably the best cycling book I've read.
